About me

When I was in school my wood shop teacher asked me to design and build a fishing net as a potential project for the rest of the class. I then started to research how I would make this project and how I would bend the hoop of the net. I saw that people were steam bending the wood but I didn’t have access to a steamer at the time so I went into the bathroom and turned the water on and let it get hot then proceeded to soak the wood (and the bathroom floor) and to my surprise I was able to laminate the strips with only a few snapping in half. Throughout the build I learned a lot and also developed a passion for making them. Although my first net turned out far from perfect I was happy with how it turned out and I strive to better my skills with each new project.
